About the project
Colchester Padel is a community-focused initiative to establish Essex’s premier indoor padel facility in Colchester, featuring four climate-controlled courts, a coffee bar, retail, and coaching for all ages and abilities. We aim to open in late 2026, subject to planning and funding.

How to enter
Create a logo that reflects both Colchester’s Roman heritage and the dynamic, social nature of padel.
Email your submission to hello@colchesterpadel.co.uk with the subject line “Logo Competition – Your Name”.
Include your full name, postcode, a short rationale (up to 150 words), and any usage notes.
Deadline: 23:59 on 30 November 2025.
Judging criteria
Relevance: celebrates Colchester and suits a modern sports club
Clarity: legible at small sizes and on digital screens
Versatility: works in colour and mono, on light and dark backgrounds
Originality: distinctive and memorable
Practicality: feasible for signage, apparel, and digital use
A winner will be selected in December 2025 and announced publicly during the construction phase.

Who can enter? Any resident within the Colchester area. If under 18, include parent or guardian consent in your email.
Can I submit multiple concepts? Yes, up to three per person. Send each concept as a separate email.
Can I update my entry after submission? Yes, if before the deadline. Please reply to your original email thread.
Will I receive feedback? We’ll acknowledge receipt but can’t guarantee individual feedback. Shortlisted entrants may be asked for refinements.
Terms and conditions (summary)
Original work: Entries must be original and must not infringe third-party rights or include unlicensed assets. You can use AI, but please let us know how you’ve incorporated it. Human made work will definitely score extra points.
Eligibility: Open to Colchester residents. Under-18s require parent or guardian consent.
Usage rights: The winning entrant grants Colchester Padel an exclusive, perpetual, worldwide licence to use, adapt, and reproduce the winning logo across channels, with the right to create derivatives for brand rollout. Non-winning entries remain the property of the designer. All entrants grant us permission to use their designs on social media to promote the competition as it runs.
Attribution: We’ll credit the winning designer where practical.
Judging: The panel’s decision is final. We reserve the right not to select a winner.
Modifications: The winning logo may be refined in collaboration with the designer to meet production needs.
Data and privacy: We’ll use your contact details only to administer the competition and will delete non-shortlisted entries within 90 days of winner announcement. To request deletion sooner, email hello@colchesterpadel.co.uk.
