[ About ]

Colchester desperately needs year-round padel facilities. While neighbouring cities and towns enjoy state-of-the-art padel venues, Colchester players are stuck with limited outdoor options. Colchester Padel changes everything – we are planning 4 climate-controlled indoor courts, ensuring 365-day access to the world's fastest-growing sport. With 56% annual UK growth and 25 million players worldwide, demand is exploding. Our premium facility will serve 400+ new regular participants, create local jobs, and establish Colchester as Essex's padel hub. Rain or shine, your game starts here.

Common Questions

  • We are a group of passionate Colchester based padel players who want to create the world-class facilities that Colchester deserves.

  • Colchester is perfectly placed to take advantage of the growth in Padel, but the facilities aren’t good enough. We want to change that.

  • It depends on the interest, and the funding we attract! We want to move quickly, but we don’t want to promise any dates. We'll keep our community updated on progress through our newsletter and social media channels.

  • Details, details! We’re planning for 4 indoor padel courts with climate control for year-round play, plus a coffee shop, equipment retail area, and bar. We're also planning to add outdoor courts and potentially a gym once established.

  • We're currently seeking community support and investors to make this vision reality. You can register your interest through our newsletter, follow our progress on social media, or contact us directly at hello@colchesterpadel.co.uk for investment opportunities or partnership possibilities. Every show of support helps demonstrate the demand for padel in Colchester.

  • Padel courts are smaller and enclosed with walls, making it easier on the joints and more accessible to all ages and abilities. The underarm serve and use of walls makes it more social and less intimidating than tennis. It's often described as a mix of tennis and squash, but much more beginner-friendly.

  • Absolutely! We'll run free taster sessions for community members and regular beginner clinics. Padel is incredibly easy to learn - most people can rally within 30 minutes! Our certified coaches will provide professional instruction for all skill levels, and we'll have equipment available for newcomers to try.
